Obituary for Harold P. Strickfaden Harold P. Strickfaden, age 91, of Edwardsville died at 6:17 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, at Eden Village Care Center in Glen Carbon. He retired from the Department of The Army in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born September 9, 1926, in California, Missouri the son of the late Henry & Louise (Baker) Strickfaden.

He married Bonnie Henley on September 4, 1948 at Annunciation Catholic Church in California, Missouri. She preceded him in death on July 7, 2014. He is survived by 2 sons, David Strickfaden and his wife Kathy of Edwardsville and Steven Strickfaden of Glen Carbon; 2 grandchildren, Timothy and Jennifer Strickfaden; and 1 great grandson, Kaiden David Strickfaden.

He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Harold was an active volunteer at the U.S.O. at Lambert Airport for over 20 years, a Troup Leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and served as an officer with the Knights of Columbus. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home.

Visitation will continue from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at the Annunciation Catholic Church in California, Missouri. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Fr. Tony Rinaldo officiating.

Interment will follow at Annunciation Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the USO. Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
