Obituary for Susan D. Drew Susan D. Drew, age 75 of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away at 11:26 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. She was born November 10, 1942, in Tonawanda, New York, the daughter of the late Joseph R. & Laurette (Callahan) Ryan. Susan worked as a nurse at the Chastain’s Nursing Home in Highland, Illinois, from 1969 to 1976, Anderson Hospital in Maryville from 1976 to 1982, then to Belleville Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2003.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Henry D. Drew whom she married October 1, 1966, in Tonawanda, New York. Susan is also survived by a son, Joseph R. Drew & wife Mary of Granite City, Illinois; one daughter, Connie Wyvell & husband Keith of Glen Carbon; four grandchildren, Connie & Catie Reynolds, Leah & Tyler Wyvell; two great grandchildren, Blake Rains, Jordan Ferguson; and one brother, Daniel Ryan & wife Rosemary of Grand Island, New York. Susan was a Master Gardener, a member of the Edwardsville Garden Club, and will be remembered as a great cook and pet lover.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with Deacon Dan Corbett officiating. She was cremated according to her wishes.
