Obituary for Janie Faye Walker Janie Faye Walker, age 86 of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away at 10:36 a.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Illinois. She was born November 10, 1931, in Cowlington, Oklahoma, the daughter of the late William “Bill” & Rusha (Brown) Brand. Janie married Clarence M. Jackson, Sr., October 20, 1950 in DeQueen, Arkansas.
He preceded her in death on January 23, 1988. She later married Leroy M. Walker on April 17, 2004, and he preceded her in death on September 8, 2015. She is survived by two sons, Clarence “Bud” Jackson, Jr. & wife Angela of Collinsville, Illinois, Randy Lee Jackson & wife Eva of Chattanooga, Tennessee; three daughters, Lavena Harris & husband Gerry of Lebanon, Illinois, Fay Marie Tift & husband Randy of New Douglas, Illinois, Pauline Winfrey of New Douglas; ten grandchildren; & twenty one great grandchildren.
Janie was a member of Leclaire Christian Church in Edwardsville. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Edwardsville. The family request memorials to Vitas Hospice. Condolences may be expressed online at weberfuneralhome.com.
