Obituary for Paul D. Lancaster Paul D. Lancaster, age 81, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Meridian Village Care Center. Paul was a retired Science Teacher for Edwardsville School District #7. He was born October 29, 1936, in Peoria, Illinois the son of the late Paul V. & Marion (Mooberry) Lancaster.

Paul married Mary McDonald on August 17, 1958, in Peoria. Besides his wife Mary he is survived by 1 son, Dennis M. Lancaster & wife Kathleen of Edwardsville; 2 daughters, Laura Lancaster of Anchorage, Alaska and Amy Martin & husband Rick of Glen Carbon; 4 grandchildren, Danielle and Nicole Henderson, Ryan and Alex Martin; 2 great grandchildren, Parker & Madison Pearson; 2 brothers, Gerald Lancaster & wife Debbie of Peoria and Thomas Lancaster & wife Mary Beth of Flora, Illinois; and 2 sisters, Sandra Johnson & husband Neil of Lake Forest, Illinois and Marsha Morman & husband Gene of Yorkville, Illinois; 2 brothers-in-law, David McDonald & wife Marilyn of Middleville, Michigan and Neil Gottleber of Jenison, Michigan; and a number of nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a Sister-in-law, Carol Gottleber.

Paul was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Edwardsville. Paul had a Bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University and a Master’s Degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. He was a member of the National Education Association, Illinois Education Association, and the Madison County Retired Teachers #2.

Paul was an avid golfer, devoted grandfather, and will be greatly missed. A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Visitation will continue Saturday, June 16, 2018, at St. John’s from 10 a.m. until service time.

Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Louis Frick officiating. Memorials may be given to St. John’s United Methodist Church.
