Obituary for Ray F. LaGarce Raymond F. LaGarce, 76, of Edwardsville, IL, born April 19, 1942, in St. Louis, MO. , died suddenly on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, while on vacation in Sedona, AZ. Ray completed his Master of Science degree at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, and his PhD in Philosophy at University of Missouri Columbia.

His academic honors included memberships in Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi. He was also a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a National Fraternity in Marketing, Sales Management and Selling and Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. He retired from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville as a Professor in Marketing, and spent the last several years doing what he loved most: traveling, cooking and spending time with his family.

Ray is survived by his wife of 24 years, Linda nee Borrenpohl LaGarce; one son Chris (Betsy) LaGarce; and step children Stacy (special friend Vince Otten) Kuhn, Rachel (Keith) Moran, Nick (Erin) Kuhn; four grandchildren, Hayden, Wyatt & Delaney Kuhn, Emmy LaGarce; and one sister Pam (Bob) Horwitz; as well as a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maxine LaGarce. A Celebration of Life Open house will be held on Thursday, June 14th in the Leclaire Room at N.O. Nelson campus in Edwardsville, IL from 4PM – 7PM.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Arizona Crisis Team, Sedona Fire Department or donors choice in care of Weber & Rodney Funeral Home in Edwardsville.
