Obituary for Shirley Ann Rickard Shirley Ann Rickard, age 81, of Edwardsville, Illinois died at 11:55 p.m. Friday, April 27, 2018, at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri. Shirley was a retired bus driver for 17 years for Edwardsville School District #7. Following her retirement from the school district she rode along with her husband in his trucking business.

She was born October 22, 1936, in Evansville, Indiana the daughter of the late Jack & Wilda (Floral) Hayhurst. She married Billy J. Rickard on June 24, 1955, at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in Evansville, Indiana. Besides her husband Billy she is survived by 1 son, Randy R. Rickard & Tamiko of Holiday Shores, 2 daughters, Cindy Grogan & Mike of Edwardsville and Vicky Hammond & husband Jay of Chesterfield, Missouri; Grandchildren, Abbey & Justin Wandel & Brittney Rickard, Callie & Travis Paige, Megan & Matt Haven, and Matthew Mueller; great grandchildren, Avery & Emersyn Haven, Ellyana Paige, and Nadia Hayes; 1 brother, Jerry Lee Hayhurst of Ballwin, Missouri.

She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Earl Rickard of Indiana and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Kunkel of Texas. She was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Kimberly Mueller and 1 sister, Sharleen Burris. Shirley was a member of the Bethalto Christian Church and formerly for over 20 years a member of the LeClaire Christian Church.

Shirley was a prayer warrior, a girl scout leader and she enjoyed bowling, skating, dancing, music, Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Bethalto Christian Church with Rev. Tony Jackson and Elder Dave Wilkerson officiating.

Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery in Edwardsville. Memorials may be given to the Bethalto Christian Church. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Shirley Ann Rickard please visit our Sympathy Store.
