Obituary for William R. “Bill” Braundmeier William R. “Bill” Braundmeier, age 76, of Edwardsville, IL died at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. Bill was a retired florists having operated Bill’s Montclaire Floral in Edwardsville. He was born June 16, 1942, in Granite City, the son of the late Raymond & Ollie (Huntley) Braundmeier.

He is survived by 2 brothers, Robert Braundmeier & wife Carol of Granite City and Kenneth Braundmeier & wife Bonnie of Maryville; 2 nieces, Holly Pecher of Maryville & Carma Love & husband Laren of Shiloh, IL and their children; 1 nephew, Kevin Braundmeier & wife Donna of Carpenter and his children; and Kyle’s wife, Jennifer Braundmeier and their children. Bill was preceded in death by 1 nephew, Kyle Braundmeier. Bill began his career at Home Nursery and also worked at Woodlawn Gardens for many years before starting his own business Bill’s Montclaire Floral in 1982.

Bill was very active and a former President of the Edwardsville Jaycees. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m Monday, June 25, 2018, at Weber & Rodney Funeral Home. Services will follow at 1 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home with Rev.

James Donahue officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon. Memorials may be given to Vitas Hospice in Fairview Heights.
