Ila Mae “Jackie”‘s Obituary Odum, Ga. Ila Mae “Jackie” Palmer Ring, 96 of Odum died Thursday, January 17, 2019 in Altamaha Convalescent Center and under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The Mount Vernon native had lived in Wayne Co., Ga.

, most of her life, was a member of Piney Grove Church of God and a homemaker. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter E. Ring and her son, Clifford Ring. Survivors are her daughters, Mildred Williams of Columbus and Margie (Charles) Wells of Ludowici; sons, Aubrey (Charlotte) Ring of Odum and Rev.

Glenn Ring of Savannah; sister, Evelyn Russell of Odum; brother, Billy (Karen) Palmer of Jesup; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Lord and Pastor Richard Dobson officiating.

Interment will be in Odum City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Allen Boyd, Allen Tootle, Jarrod Manning, Neil Tedder, Gary Jones, and Harley Howell. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Hospice of South Georgia.

Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the funeral home. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
