Josh’s Obituary Joshua William Hires, 26, of Jesup, died Saturday, February 2, 2019. The Wayne County native was a member of Unity Church of God and 2010 Wayne County High School Graduate who received an Associate Degree from South University in Physical Therapy. He was known as a helper to all and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Joe Peacock; paternal great grandparents, T. G. and Dorothy Hires and Amy Perkins; maternal great grandparents, Joseph Edward and Bernice Peacock and Mae Carter. Survivors are his parents, Becky (Donald) Mixon of Jesup and Teddy Hires of Jesup; brothers including twin brother, Joseph (Katie) Hires, Chad Mixon and Gavin Mixon all of Jesup; sisters, Kara (Jonathan) Scott, Kaylee Mixon, and Teagan Hires all of Jesup; maternal grandmother, Mary Peacock of Ludowici; paternal grandparents, Luther and Sally Hires of Jesup; nephews, Trey Ogden, Uriah and Logan Scott; niece, Adeline Hires. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2019, at Unity Church of God with Pastor Calvin Anderson officiating.

Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Trent Dubberly, Tyler Wiggins, Brandon Yoder, Tommy Jackson, Mark Scott, and Jermaine Nixon. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to service at the church.

Memorial donations may be made to Unity Church of God Youth, 1580 Sunset Blvd. , Jesup, GA 31545. Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
