Mabel’s Obituary Jesup, Ga. Mabel Velles Westberry, 91 received her ultimate healing on March 29, 2019. She was born on September 19, 1927 to the late Victor and Benancia Velles in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Mabel moved to Wayne County, Georgia in 1967 where she resided for the remainder of her life. She was a member of the Church of God. She had a strong faith and loved the Lord.

She also loved attending church. She was a former volunteer with the Wayne Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She taught the kindergarten Sunday school class at Parkway Church of God for several years.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lesley R. Westberry and her son Manual R. Paulino, Jr., and two grandchildren. Survivors are three sons, Philip Paulino, Reginald Remigio and Efrem Remigio; 4 daughters, Linda Kupau, Charlene Thompson, Angelita Critchfield and Debbie Remigio; a brother; 3 stepchildren; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, April 1, 2019 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Rev.

Eugene Evors officiating. Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her family.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staffs of Harborview Nursing Home and Hospice of South Georgia and Wayne Memorial Auxiliary. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd.
