Cornel’s Obituary Cornel Alexander Howard, 88, of McIntosh County, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, after an extended illness. The McIntosh County native was a retired employee of McIntosh County Road Department and he enjoyed gardening. He was predeceased by his former wife, Rudell O’Berry Howard; son, Stanley Howard; daughter, Tammy Hewitt.

Survivors are his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Carlton)Hendrix, Pam (Mike) Grissino, Ruth (Stephen) Mitchell, Barbara Thomas, Frieda Sapp, all of McIntosh County; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Howard, Skippy (Frieda) Howard, Ricky Howard, Tony (Shirley) Howard, all of McIntosh County; sister, Jessie Robson of McIntosh County; many grandchildren. Graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Davis Cemetery, Davis Cemetery Road NW, Riceboro, GA 31323, with Rev. Danny Stillwell and Rev.

Jamie Rivera officiating. Active pallbearers will be David Howard, Dawson Howard, Jerry Hewitt, Quinton Hewitt, Jay Hendrix, Alan Rabie, and Mitchell Howard. Mr. Howard will be taken to his home, 1589 Cornel Howard Road, Riceboro, GA 31323, at 5:00 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2019.
