Irma Pearl Hanger, 95, of Vincent passed away November 5, 2018 at the Marietta Center. She was born on April 12, 1923 in Belpre, OH, one of eight children of the late the Daniel O. and Anna Pearl Bennett Berry. Irma was a graduate of Belpre High School.

She proudly helped in the war effort during World War II, working in an aircraft fuel tank factory. Irma had worked as a substitute teacher and always had fond memories of her students and that experience. She was a true farm wife, enjoying quilting, flowers, gardening and their cattle and will be remembered for her work ethic and example.

Irma is survived by her children Sharon Richards (Jerry), Janet Fairchild (Phil), Marvin Hanger, Scott Hanger (Tammy), seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, sister Joan Knowles and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Charles Hanger, son, Robbie Hanger, brothers John, Daniel, Jack Berry and sisters Ailene Rector, Harriet Berry and Donna Burns. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre with Pastor Rick Hastings officiating.

Burial will follow at Rockland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2018, 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm and for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
