Vijil “Dallas” age 37, was born December 29, 1981 and passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Angela Vijil; loving children, Manuel Vijil and Lupe, and Jayden Vijil; grandchild, Grayson Vijil; father and mother, Nattie and Crespin Vijil; sister, Kristal Vijil; brother, Navar Vijil and Sariya; nephew; Xavier Joe Vijil; his Nina’s, Roberta Romero and Bernadette Coca; mother-in-law, Judith Wilkinson-Case; brother-in-law, Zachary Case; as well as many, many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Isaiah was preceded in death by his Nana and Tata, Virginia and Vincent Apodaca; his Nino, Victor Coca; nephew, Billy Rose-Vijil, and several cousins.
For everyone who knew Isaiah, we all know he loved his family deeply. We also know he loved all sports, but his main sport was football, the Dallas Cowboys to be exact, homeland of where he was born. Isaiah was sarcastic to say the least but his intentions were of a fun and loving way.
Along with the Cowboys, Isaiah was also actively involved in both of his sons football activities from ages 7 and up, and always said if either of his boys made it to the NFL he would have a new team, whatever team one of the boys played on, because no matter how devoted to the Cowboys, he was more devoted to his sons. Isaiah would fight any battle when it came to his family, he would defend everyone he loved in any way he could. Isaiah is pain free and resting in peace with our Lord now.
Services will be held at Saint Anne’s Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. SW Albuquerque, NM 87105, on Saturday, January 12, 2019. The viewing will begin at 9:00 am followed by the Eulogy at 9:30am and the Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
The interment will immediately follow at Pajarito Cemetery at the intersection of Coors and Pajarito. Immediately following the interment there will be a reception at St. Anne’s Catholic Church Parish Hall. We are asking everyone, in honor of Isaiah to please wear something navy blue, silver/gray, or white.
Also, we welcome anyone whom wants to sign or tag up the casket at the viewing, we will have sharpies available and we want to do that before the burial please. Thank you for all your love and support. Pallbearers will be Crespin Vijil, Navar Vijil, Kristal Vijil, Manuel Vijil, Jayden Vijil, Jesse Apodaca, Adam Coca, Ben Saiz, David Bassham and Eric Montoya.
