Jack D. Hancock, age 93, of Grove passed away Tuesday September 19, 2019 at Grove Nursing Center. Jack was born to Arthur and Pearl Hancock in Harrisburg, Ill on September 3, 1925, where he grew up and attended high school. Jack served in both the United States Marine Corps and the Air Force and was a proud veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Viet Nam War.

After his retirement from the military he became an Engineer on a Riverboat. Jack moved to the Grand Lake area in 2008 from Arkansas. Jack loved woodworking, fishing and sports.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors are his sons Jack Hancock Jr., John Hancock and Ron Hancock; daughters Pam Lish and Tanya Byrd. Family will have a private service at a later date.
