Jacob “Jake” Abe Hillman August 20, 1997 – January 12, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Gate City, VA – Jacob “Jake” Abe Hillman, 21 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God” Mathew 5:8 Jacob “Jake” Abe Hillman, age 21 of Gate City, VA went to be with the Lord Saturday, January 12, 2019. He was born in Kingsport, TN on August 20, 1997. He was a member of Fort Blackmore Fire Department and Scott County Horse Assocation.

Jake was employed by Asplundh and lived life full throttle. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William C. Hillman and Mabel Leola McClellan; maternal grandmother, Mildred McDavid; grandparents Cecil and Lucy Hill. Jake is survived by his parents, Charles and Dottie Hillman; a sister Tiffany Hillman; brothers, Patrick Duncan (Megan) and Donovan Duncan (Amanda); Aunt, Dottie Barber; niece, Adelyn Akers; nephews, Mason Reynolds and Walker Duncan; girlfriend, Maddie Fuller; special friends, Logan Dunlap, John Jessica and Haiden Jobe, John Brickey, Dillon Hensley and Brian Jennings, along with several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 4 to 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA and anytime at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 10:30 AM in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Keith Holt, and Pastor Chris Lane officiating. Music will be provided by Durham’s Chapel Quartet.

Burial will follow at Morgan’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers are Patrick Duncan, Dillon Hensley, Donovan Duncan, John Jobe, John Brickey and Logan Dunlap. Honorary pallbearers are Fort Blackmore Vol Fire Department, Gate City Asplundh, Brian Jennings, Tommy Johnson, Caleb Starnes and Austin Hensley.
