On March 2, 2019, James Arthur Hayworth was reunited with his eternal companion Donna Ruth Jarvis. Jim was born June 11, 1938 in Sedalia, MO to Arthur F. and Loretta Burford Hayworth. He was the youngest of four children.

As Airman First Class, stationed at Hill Air Force Base, he met Donna at a Valentine’s Day dance at the base. They were married June 28, 1958 in Pleasant Grove, Utah in the church building that is now Olpin Family Mortuary. On May 24, 1961 they were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

Jim was a hard worker who loved his family dearly. He was always willing to do whatever he could to provide for them. As the beloved Patriarch of his family, he was an excellent example of hard work, devotion, and sacrifice among many other Christ-like attributes.

Jim and Donna served for years as Temple Workers in the Provo and Mt. Timpanogos Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as Branch President in Beatty, Nevada during their mission, beginning in June 2003.

Jim bore the trials of mortality with honor. Even though the deaths of (daughter, Deborah Lynn Lewis in July 2010, followed by the death of his “beautiful” Donna in November 2010, and the death of his daughter, Sheri LaDawn Davis, in December of 2018) were devastating, he endured till the end with humility and dignity. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Doris Jean Cook and grandson, Michael Lewis.

Jim is survived by four children: Brenda (John) Griffin, Marshall, MO; Ryan James (Kimberly) Hayworth, Logan, UT; Kim (Rob) Myers, Nephi, UT and Alan James (Richard) Hayworth, Sandy, UT; 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and sisters: Ruby and Betty. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove East Stake Center, 825 South Loader Drive, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:00 -10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www. olpinmortuary.com. Jim will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
