Obituary for James “Jim” P. Schneider James “Jim” P. Schneider, 58, of Archer, formerly of Omaha, died on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City with Trent Wagner officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, September 28th from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Solt-Wagner Funeral Home in Central City.

James Patrick Schneider was born on December 18, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa to Charles H. and Rose B. (Pettrella) Schneider. Jim grew up in Omaha, and graduated from Omaha North High School in 1977. At a young age, Jim began working for D.C. Lynch Shows.

Following his high school graduation Jim went to work fulltime for D.C. Lynch Shows. He eventually would own his own games and funnel cake stand, while travelling with the D.C. Lynch Shows. He would spend over 45 years working carnivals all over the states of Nebraska and South Dakota with D.C. Lynch Shows.

In 2008, Jim began his own trucking company, and would drive for himself as well as for other companies. He loved his work, and even up until his final days he wanted to get in his truck and drive. Jim was a simple man, but when he did something, he did it full speed ahead.

He never missed an opportunity to sit around a fire and have a beer. He also enjoyed his work, hunting, fishing, and especially his Harley Davidson motorcycles. His greatest love was getting to spend time with his family, especially his two children.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Conner Schneider of Omaha and Amanda Schneider of Aurora, his siblings; Nancy Elliott of Omaha, George Elliott of Omaha, Mike (Jay) Elliott of Omaha, Ray (Diana) Schneider of Chapman, and Anna (Jerry) Strandberg of Omaha, as well as many nieces and nephews.
