James L. Pokrivsak, 71, of Williams Township, formerly of Easton, passed away Friday, February 22, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital-Anderson Campus surrounded by his loving family. Born June 4, 1947, in Easton, PA, he was a son of the late Louis J. and Caroline (Rotolo) Pokrivsak. He and his wife, Shirley A. (Stull) Pokrivsak, celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on October 1, 2018.

Jim was a member of Easton Area High School Class of 1965. He served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Jim retired from the former Tech Conveyor, Lopatcong Township, NJ.

Previously, he was a concrete truck driver for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, activities by the canal, and classic cars.

Jim touched many lives in a positive way and leaves behind fond memories to treasure. He was a faithful member of New Creation U.C.C. and had been a member of the former St. Peter’s U.C.C., Easton. Over the years, he had served on the consistory, as Sunday school superintendent, as a mentor for confirmation classes, attended Bible studies and volunteered in various capacities for his church.

Jim was a life member of Citizens Hose Company and the former Order of Fleas. Surviving in addition to his wife, Shirley, are a son, James L. Pokrivsak, Jr. and his wife, Monica, of Upper Nazareth Township; a daughter, Kelly L. Clossey, of Palmer Township; six grandchildren, Erika, Kira and Kole Pokrivsak, Kendall, Kali and Kason Clossey; two great-grandchildren, Sadie and Cooper; special nieces and nephews, Skeeter (Patti), Timmy (Bernie), Buddy (Chrissy), Cory (Bernie), Michelle (Dan) and Michael. He was predeceased by a sister, Juanita Knecht.

A Celebration of Life service will be held promptly at 6pm Friday, March 1, 2019 in New Creation U.C.C., 3730 Nicholas Street, Palmer Township, with no calling hours prior to the service. The family will receive friends and loved ones immediately following the service in Palmer Fire Company, 950 S. 27th Street, Palmer Township. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Wilson Borough.
