Janice Elaine Cheek Day, 74, of Dawson passed away at Dawson Health and Rehabilitation on April 13, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Harvey Funeral Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2018. Dr. Emil Askew will officiate.

Janice was born in Terrell County on November 24, 1943. She owned and operated Day’s Beauty Boutique for many years. Preceding her in death were her parents, John Benjamin Cheek and Gladys Gaines Cheek; husband, Bob Day; and siblings, Sheaffer Cheek, Bert Cheek, Jean Etheridge and Barbara Buck.

Survivors include her son, Danny Frank Turner; brothers, Sylvester Cheek, John Cheek and Steve Cheek; sisters, Kathryn Cheek and Marie Katan; grandchildren, Debra Jo Turner, Johnny Turner and Savannah Turner; and great-grandchild, Avery.
