Javeta’s Obituary Mrs. Javeta Ann Simpson Hawthorne, age 74, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in a local nursing home. Mrs. Hawthorne was born February 4, 1944, in Merced, California, and had lived most of her life in Texarkana. She was a member of the Assembly of God and was retired from Walmart Vision Center in Texarkana, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wayne Simpson. Survivors include one daughter, Leah Johnson of De Kalb, Texas, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Allan and Judy Simpson of Texarkana, Texas, and Michael Simpson of Texarkana, Texas, one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Kay and Ray Woods of Honey Grove, Texas, one brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Mary Hancock of Searcy, Arkansas, a former son-in-law, William Johnson of Avery, Texas, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P. M. Saturday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Rev.

Hal Haltom officiating. Private burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 PM Saturday until service time.

Memorials may be made to Cynthia Moore, Activity Fund, Reunion Plaza, 1401 Hampton Road, Texarkana, Texas, 75503.
