Mrs. Jennette Whitaker, 80, of Franklin, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Franklin Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, September 28, 2018 with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY. Jennette was born September 25, 1938, in Franklin, KY to the late Cager West and Lilly Mae Cox West.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Reeves Whitaker Sr., 4 brothers, Albert West, Homer West, N.C. West, Jesse Denzel West, and her Great Grandchild, Arianna Brooke Whitaker. Jennette is survived by her children, James Thomas and his wife Mary of Franklin, KY, Mike Whitaker and his wife Glenda of Franklin, KY, Ronnie Whitaker and his wife Rhonda of Westmoreland, TN, Pete Whitaker and his wife Deanna of Franklin, KY, Steve Whitaker and his wife Lori of Lakeview, NC, Robert Whitaker and his wife Rita of Franklin, KY, 2 brothers, Herschel West, Rudy West, 1 sister, Pat Ladd, 17 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Mrs. Whitaker retired from Quebecor Printing.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 and from 6:00 AM until time of service on Friday, September 28, 2018 at Gilbert Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www. gilbertfhonline.com.
