Jim Howard Banks, 63, of Cowan passed away Sunday, March 10, 2019 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Jim was the son of the late Howard and Juna Dollarhide Banks. He was the widower of Henrietta Fields Banks.

Surviving is 2 daughters: Karen Banks and Cindy Niece (Eddie); 5 grandchildren: Joseph Kochin, Sharon Heron, Brandon Heron, Samantha Niece, and Haley Niece; 1 great grandchild: Emma Rose Hall; 5 sisters: Dicey Faye Absher of Florida, Atha Fields of Cowan, Jean Poisel of Indiana, Barbara Stinson of Indiana, and Daisy Boggs of Cowan. Funeral: 12:00 O’clock Noon Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Kings Chapel Church with Frank Adams, Gary Fields, John Conn, and Jack Howard officiating. Visitation: 5:00 P.M. Monday at the Kings Chapel Church.

Burial will follow in the Astor Fields Cemetery at Cowan, Kentucky.
