Shelby Dixon, 79, of Hallie passed away Saturday, February 3, 2019 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Shelby was the son of the late Hiram and Eva Eldridge Dixon. He was the widower of Lois Dixon.

Surviving is 1 son: Mike (Teresa) Dixon of Morristown, Tennessee; 2 daughters: Susie (Jeff) Brashear of Viper and Becky (Luke) Holbrook of Hallie; 2 brothers: Cydis Dixon and Dan Dixon both of Hallie; 5 sisters: Bonnie Bentley of Neon, Lonnie Gibson of Hallie, Freda Trent of Hallie, Lania Trent of Slemp, and Patsy Hamilton of Viper; grandchildren: Scott Dixon, Sam Dixon, Ben Burgin, Heath (Cara) Brasher, and Savanna (Caleb Herron) Collins; great grandchildren: Jacob Michael Dixon, Grayson Dixon, James Dixon, Lyla Grace Collins, Sawyer Brashear, and Nora Ann Brashear. Funeral: 2:00 O’clock P.M. Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Danny Dixon officiating. Visitation: 12:00 Noon Monday at the Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the Dixon Family Cemetery at Hallie, Kentucky.
