Hugh Holbrook, 78, of Whitco passed away Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Center. Hugh was the son of the late Annias Holbrook and Verdie Pence Day. He was the widower of Geneva Trent Holbrook.

Surviving is 2 sons: Hugh Stanley Holbrook Jr. of Dry Fork and Randall Allen (Rebecca) Holbrook of Whitco; 1 daughter; Suzanne Russell of Norton, Virginia; 1 stepdaughter: Stacy Curtis; 1 brother: Randall Holbrook of Mobile, Alabama; 1 sister: Dorothy Lucas of Mayking; 1 grandchild: Danielle Curtis; 1 great grandchild: Jeffery Tyler Lucas; companion: Virginia Curtis. Funeral: 12:00 O’clock Noon Thursday, March 7, 2019 at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Craft officiating. Visitation: 6:00 P.M. Tuesday and 6:00 P.M. Wednesday at the Letcher Funeral Home Chapel.

Entombment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine, Kentucky.
