Obituary for John A. Haas John A. Haas, 81, passed away from complications with prostate cancer on October 28, 2018. He was a resident of Bonita Bay in Bonita Springs, Florida. John was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 29, 1936.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Haas and his son, Greg (Joanne) Haas. Forever remembered by his 3 grandchildren Lisa (Josh) Buehler, Susan (Mark) Holtkamp, and Jonathan Haas. Known for his love of golf and his sense of humor John was a member of the Bonita Bay Club and a former member of Coldstream Country Club, Wetherington Country Club, and River’s Bend TPC in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

He graduated in 1959 with a B.S. in Industrial Management from Wilmington College, Wilmington, Ohio. John retired as President and CEO of Ball Glass Container Corporation in Muncie, Indiana. He was also a past President and CEO of Heekin Can Company in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He served as a director for Simplicity Manufacturing, Comair Holdings Inc., Phoenix Packaging and the National Food Processors Association. A private memorial service will be held at the Resurrection Garden of the First Presbyterian Church Bonita Springs where John is a member. Memorial donations may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, P. O. Box 2168, Bonita Springs, Florida 34133.
