John E. Briggs Dansville Passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the age of 65. Born July 9, 1952 to Karl and Velma (Frye) Briggs in Stockbridge, Michigan. John honorably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.

He went on to work in construction before an injury required him retire on disability. John later got re-trained and went back to work in the IT field. He was a former member of the Local 998.

John was an avid fisherman who also enjoyed camping, hunting, gardening… Read More » and cooking. He was a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 21. John loved animals, especially all of his dogs.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Lori Ann Briggs; brother, Karl Briggs II and brother-in-law, Evert Ordiway. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Karen Briggs; sons, John Briggs II, Jan (Sean Reagle) Briggs; grandchildren, Levi Reagle-Briggs; sister, Kathleen Ordiway; brother, Charles Briggs as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
