John Fredrick Albrecht, age 94, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2018, at Schmitt Woodland Hills, in Richland Center, WI. He was born January 9, 1924, in Milwaukee, WI, to John and Helen (Froreich) Albrecht. He entered the US Army Air Corps at the age of 17 and became a B24 pilot serving in the Pacific theater during WWII.

He received his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry at UW-Platteville, Master’s degree in chemistry at Tulane University in New Orleans, and Master of Theology… Read More » at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX. He had a varied working career as a chemical engineer, minister, and professor of chemistry at UW-Richland. He enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.

He is survived by his daughters, Merrilie Albrecht, and Cynthia Kitchell (Tony) from his former wife, Julia Ann. He was preceded in death by his wife Jacky, his parents, brother Edmund, and sister Helen. Per John’s request no formal services will be held.

The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with their arrangements.
