Brown, 75, of Massey Point, died Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Tulsa. The family will greet friends and visitors on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bishop Funeral Service. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Ulan Cemetery officiated by Rev.

Daniel Miller and Mr. Dave Miller. Burial will follow. Pallbearers will be Brandon Morrison, Ryan Morrison, Chris Hood, Bobby Horton, Brent Horton, and Tyler Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cody Ott and David Padgett. Johnny was born to Elmer J. and Ocie (Douvall) Brown on March 14, 1944 in Ulan. He graduated from Indianola High School in 1962.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator. Johnny also worked on a turkey farm at Featherston for several years. He was an avid fisherman and also enjoyed hunting.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents: Elmer J. Brown, Sr. and Ocie Brown; brothers: E. J. Brown, Jr, Harold E. “Bud” Brown; sisters: Geneva Pierce, Ruby Pierce; and his first wife: Carolyn (Rowell) Brown. He is survived by son: Dewayne Brown and wife, Becky of Kiowa; daughter: Vanessa Blevins and husband, Ryan of Texas; grandchildren: Ryan Morrison and wife, Katie of Mt. View, Arkansas, Brandon Morrison and Johnna Whetsel of Wardville, Candice Ott and husband, Cody of Hartshorne; wife: Linda (Smith) Brown of Krebs; stepsons: Robert “Bob” Horton and wife, Shauna of Eufaula, Brent Horton of McAlester; step-grandsons: Bradley Horton, Dylan Horton and Jayden Horton; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Also brothers: Don Brown of McAlester, Allen Brown and wife, Serena of Indianola, Glen Brown and wife, Margaret, Odale Brown and wife, Margie; sisters: Glenda Upchurch, Carolyn Gillespie, all of McAlester, Mary Lee Logan of Crowder; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
