John “Batman” Wright a.k.a. Bats, 46 of Port Ewen, NY died on June 17, 2018. John was born and raised in Manhattan, NY. He was the son of the late Cynthia Bell Sargent.

John is survived by his wife, Natasha Stephanie Wright, whom he married on June 27, 2016. A son Jonathan Wright also survives. John is survived by so many friends that he loved and considered his family.

John truly had the biggest heart, he made it a point to always laugh and smile. John was an amazing husband to his wife who he absolutely loved and adored. He was an amazing friend.

John was the type of man that would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. John was an honest loving and compassionate man that had so much life in him. John absolutely love wrestling, he was the biggest fan of WWE.

Every Monday and Tuesday night we’re wrestling nights at our home. John loved going back to his hometown Manhattan New York, where I loved watching him transform into his city swagger. John worked with disabled individuals and young adults with autism for many years, which he had a tremendous amount of love patience and compassion for.

He was loved by his consumers. John received his CDL and began driving a cement mixer truck. John was an incredibly hard worker with so much ambition.

John had a great relationship with his fellow cement mixer drivers. John will be reposing at the Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave. on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 4-8 pm.

A funeral service will be held Saturday 10:00 am at the funeral home. Rev. David Brechter officiating.

Interment will follow in Montrepose Cemetery The family request that memorial donations may be made in his name, to the Cancer Assistance for Parents Fund CAP’S 30 Grand Street, Kingston, NY.
