John W. Wolbach, 87, formerly of Easton, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in Cedarbrook Nursing Home. Born April 28, 1931, in Williams Township, PA, he was a son of the late William F. and Mary E. (Singer) Wolbach. His wife of 59 years, Barbara M. (Oberholtzer) Wolbach , died January 16, 2014.

He graduated from Easton High School Class of 1948. John and his wife owned and operated the former Wolbach’s Electrolux for 27 years. Previously, he worked as a mechanic for 20 years at Ferndale Garage and as a shop foreman at the former Continental Motors.

John was a member of the Phillipsburg Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Surviving are a son, Benjamin A. and his wife Dorothea, of Allentown; a daughter, Beverly A. Harrington and her husband Clayton, of Quarryville, PA; a brother, Richard H. Wolbach and his wife Myrna, of Forks Township; a sister, Stella Geuss, of Forks Township and three grandsons, Shawn, Travis and Michael Harrington. He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Hegedus.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, February 2nd in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1403 Lieb Road, Forks Township, PA. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. Offer online condolences at www.
