Robert T. “Buff” Eveland, 71, of Wilson Borough, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born January 8, 1948, in Trenton, NJ, he was a son of Barbara Mary (Ebelt) Eveland, of Williams Township and the late Robert C. Eveland. He and his wife, Blossom L. (Park) Eveland, celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on November 2, 2018.

Bob graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1966. He served with the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Bob retired from Georgia-Pacific Corp.

, where he worked for 46 years. He enjoyed bowling. Bob was an avid Penn State, Miami Dolphins, Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Dodgers fan.

He was a life member of Citizens Hose Company, former of Order of Fleas and Rice Ebner American Legion Post 588. Surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, David K. Eveland, of Roanoke, VA; a daughter, Vida A. Dettmann and her husband Christopher, of Punta Gorda, FL; a brother, Scott Eveland, of Williams Township; two sisters, Candace C. Hawk and her husband George, of The Villages, FL and Barbara A. Pittenger, of Lady Lake, Florida; two granddaughters, Kirra and Hanna Eveland; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough.

Call Friday 9:30-10:30am in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John’s Union Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www.
