Robert P. Martin, Sr., 74, of Palmer Township, formerly of Bethlehem Township, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2019 at his home. Born September 30, 1944, in Allentown, PA, he was a son of the late Anthony C. and Alice J. (Martin) Martin. He graduated from Wilson High School Class of 1963.

Bob was former owner of Essent Corporation, formerly SBM, Inc., Palmer Township. He was also a former part-time police officer for Palmer Township and Bethlehem Township. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed riding motorcycles.

Bob was of the Lutheran faith. He was a member of a Masonic lodge. Surviving are a son, Robert P. Martin II and his wife Toni, of Nazareth; a daughter, Sandra Martin, of Wilson Borough; an aunt Ann Martin, who the family especially thanks for her love and support; seven grandchildren, Nicole, Amy, Bethany, Robert III, Michael, Alexis and Nikki; a step-grandson, Max; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Petrosky. A memorial calling hour will be held Thursday from 5-6pm in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.
