Melhem’s Obituary Melhem Jahjah Melhem, 83, of Easton, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 in St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. Melhem was born in Kfarsghab, Lebanon, a son of the late Jahjah and Nadima (Ferhot) Melhem. Melhem was married to the former Hawa Farhat until her passing in 2008.

He was a steel worker until 1978. He was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church. Melhem is survived by a son Youssef Melhem of Easton; a daughter Barbara Melhem of Easton; sisters Josephine Koury of Easton, Chafica “Cheffie” Koury and husband Deacon Anthony Koury of Easton, Sue Olson and husband John Olson of Wind Gap, and 50 nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by brothers Izzat Melhem, Joseph Melhem, and Chafiq Melhem. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with Prayer of the Incense at 7:30 pm, and an additional calling hour on Thursday from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in Morello Funeral Home, Inc., 3720 Nicholas Street, Easton, PA (Palmer Twp). A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Lebanon Catholic Church, 4th & Ferry Streets, Easton.

Interment will be in Kfarsghab, Lebanon. Online condolences may be offered at www. morellofuneralhome.com.
