Joseph William Chick age 77 of DuBois, PA; died on Friday April 20, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on February 19, 1941 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Joseph L. and Mary Hazel Lowe Chick. He was married to Wanda Hudson Chick on August 17, 1963 and she survives.

Joe was a graduate of the DeVry Institute of Technology. He also was a graduate of Penn State University where he earned a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed a Penelec as an Electrical Instrument Supervisor… Read More » until his retirement in 1996.

He was Methodist by faith. Joe enjoyed restoring antique cars, and was the former owner of Chick’s Tractor Sales for 20 years. He also was a member of the NRA and enjoyed shooting and collecting guns.

He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching college basketball. In addition to his wife he is also survived by 2 daughters: Colleen (Everett) Cupp of DuBois; Billie Palumbo of Reynoldsville, PA; 1 son: Joseph W. (Joyce) Chick also of DuBois; Joseph was devoted to his 5 grandchildren: Joelle (Doug) Manners; Brian Austin ( Krysti) Palumbo; Kyle Cupp; Ryan Cupp and Cole Palumbo. He is also survived by a sister Mary Jo Nido of West Friendship, Maryland as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Adamson Funeral Chapel Inc. in DuBois. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:00 AM also at the Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kevin Bockus officiating.

Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Gateway Humane Society in Falls Creek, PA; or the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be left at www.
