Obituary for Josephine M. Borawski Josephine M. Borawski, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2018, after suffering from a long illness. She was born on December 16, 1933, in Utica, the daughter of Paul and Rose (Solimando) Lupia. Josephine was a 1951 graduate of Proctor High School and continued to enjoy her classmates at their numerous reunions over the years.

On July 14, 1956, she married Richard C. Borawski in St. Agnes Church. She was employed at St. Elizabeth Hospital for many years and also worked for New York State in Marcy, Troy and Albany. Josephine is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Richard; her loving daughters, Susan (Paul) Hayes, Latham, NY, Jody (Irving) Kaplan, Dedham, MA; sisters, Maryrose Lupia, Utica, Paula Lupia Coonrod, Montegue, CA and her adoring grandsons, Paul Richard and Michael Hayes, Latham, NY.

Josephine devoted her life to caring for generations of her family, and will be missed dearly. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd. , Utica.

Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Utica.
