Joyce M. DeVol, 79, of Bettendorf, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home in Bettendorf. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the family. Joyce was born February 1, 1939 in Rock Island, Illinois, the daughter of Darrell & Ethel (Johanson) Anderson.

She was united in marriage to James S. DeVol on September 22, 1956 in Davenport. Joyce was retired from Modern Woodman of America. She had a love of decorating and enjoyed flowers and landscaping.

She deeply loved her husband, Jim and her family, enjoying the family gatherings on Lake Ponderosa. Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Jim; her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheri & Troy Hartz of Montezuma, Iowa and Jamie & Jeff Kane of Bettendorf; her grandchildren, Tara (Gina) Zelle, Calvin (Riley) Hartz, Ryan (Mary) Kane and Brandon Kane (Forest Kelly); her great-grandson, Cooper Kane; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Darilyn & Ed Smith of Church Hill, Tennessee and Robin & John Claussen of Bettendorf. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.
