John Ronald “Ronnie” Buikema, 81, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Graveside services will be held at Davenport Memorial Park on Thursday, November 1st at 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Scott County www. hssc.

us/donate Ronnie was born December 11, 1936 in Iowa City, the son of John & Genevieve (Nolte) Buikema. He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1957 to 1959. On December 30, 1970, Ronnie was united in marriage to Maxine Marie McNeil-Lincoln in Rock Island, Illinois.

She preceded him in death on April 21, 2015. Ronnie was self-employed for 50+ years as a flooring installer. Those left to honor his memory include his step-children, Barbara (Ken) Schlotfeldt of Geneseo, Illinois, Rebecca (Tim Frahm) Adams of Davenport, Iowa, Jennifer (Richard) Stults of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, David (Thida) Lincoln of Rough and Ready, California and Mark Lincoln of Grand Mound, Iowa; twelve step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Jolene Myrna Ripley of Tucson, Arizona.
