Obituary for Joyce Irma Faecke Joyce Irma Faecke, 93, of Red Wing died Saturday March 10, 2018 at Deer Crest surrounded by family. She was born on July 4, 1924, in Tenstrike, Minnesota to Roy and Ella (Ketchum) Gregg. On July 12, 1944 she was united in marriage to Andrew Faecke until his death in 1994.
Joyce had a passionate love for life and a great sense of humor. She liked: a good joke, a good laugh, cats, cooking, dancing, entertaining, family, friends, fishing, golf, playing bridge, good brandy and pretty sunsets. She lived up to her 4th of July birthday.
She brought joy, laughter, and love to all within her reach. She will always be loved and never forgotten. Joyce is survived by four children, Darla Varin, Brentwood, California, Thomas (Teresa) Faecke, Bemidji, Minnesota, Julie (Alan) Bleything, Red Wing, and Joseph (Kathy) Faecke of South Bend, Indiana; nine grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren and one sister, Lois Statton of Bemidji.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Kenneth and Wallace “Bud” Gregg, and special friend Joseph Jancsek. A memorial gathering will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Church of St. Joseph in Red Wing. Private family burial will be at the Calvary Cemetery.

On July 12, 1944 she was united in marriage to Andrew Faecke until his death in 1994. Joyce had a passionate love for life and a great sense of humor.
