June B. Hirte, 93, of Kingsford, passed away on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Florence Health Services in Florence, WI. She was born January 17, 1926 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Fred and Maggie Mae (Witz) Hulce. June married Clarence Hirte on March 14, 1942 in Iron Mountain.

He preceded her in death on November 25, 2002. June worked as a nurses aide at Hyland Nursing Home for 35 years, retiring in 1986. She was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford where she served on the ladies guild and on the altar guild.

One of her favorite pass-times for many years was quilting. More than anything, June loved time spent with family. June is survived by a son, Rod (Barb) Hirte of Aurora; two daughters, Muriel (Wayne) Guy of Neenah, WI and Carol (Bob) Guy of Kingsford; three brothers, Franklin (Phyllis) Hulce, Lyle (Gloria) Hulce and Wayne (Mary) Hulce; a sister, Lois Giuliani; a sister-in-law, Nancy Hulce; four grandchildren, Valerie Guy, Dean (Linda) Guy, Kenneth (Kimberly) Guy and Wendy Guy Prange (Steve Moe); seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, David Guy; two brothers, David and Ronald Hulce; and three sisters, Alice Simonetti, Pauline King and Wanda Hulce. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am on Monday, February 25 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the church.

Rev. Matt Ruesch will officiate. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
