June R. Francy May 22, 1930 – January 7, 2019 June R. Francy, 88 of Centerview, Missouri passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. June was born May 22, 1930 on the family farm near Strasburg, Missouri; daughter of William Elmer Rosanbalm and Lucy Kate (Breeding) Rosanbalm. She graduated from Pleasant Hill High School, Class of 48.

She was united in marriage to Clifford Merle Francy on October 21, 1955 at Pleasant Hill. During this time, they made their home in Pleasant Hill and June worked at Continental Grain in Kansas City. Next, the couple lived in Lawrence, Kansas for six months where she was a stay-at-home mom.

Later, she held a 4-H Youth Extension position for Jackson County. More recently, June went into the real estate business, starting with Villa Realty in Independence. On March 18, 1972, the family moved to Centerview, where she worked for Key Realty.

She eventually was employed at Bartlett Grain Company in Kansas City until retiring. June was an expert seamstress, at one point, operating a small sewing business out of the couple’s garage. She also started Francy’s Fancies, doing custom sewing.

June created a beautiful braided egg bread recipe, which she equaled to a bakery that they purchased bread from in Lawrence, Kansas. That bread sold at many fundraisers for $50 a loaf! She was so proud of the fact it could help countless activities or fundraisers.

June was very active with the Hugs Program, which shipped care packages to soldiers in Iraq. June and Clifford were chair members of the first Johnson County Fair, and she was a member of the Centerview Senior citizens. She was baptized in the First Baptist church in Centerview.

Born: May 22, 1930 Death: January 7, 2019 Survivors include her husband, Clifford; four children: Llewellyn (Randy) VanWey of Centerview, MO; Sheldon Francy of Sedalia, MO; Kelvin (Cheryl) Francy of Centerview, MO and Luciann (Dale) Smith of Warrensburg, MO; ten Grandchildren: Jeremy (Rebecca) VanWey of Warrensburg, MO; Jennifer (Jay) Nellesen of Warrensburg, MO; Darryl (Rowena) Francy of Hawley, TX; Clifford Austin Francy of Early, TX; Candice (Trey) Wyatt of Stratford, TX; Nathan (Hanna) Francy of Blue Springs, MO; Kaitlyn (Dalton) Hutcherson of Centerview, MO; Lauren (Josh) Vesecky of Warrensburg, MO; Clint (Kelsey) Smith of Centerview, MO and Kara Smith of Warrensburg, MO; and nineteen great grandchildren: Brady VanWey, Gracyn VanWey, Bryce VanWey, LauraBeth VanWey, Jarrett Terry, Jaron Terry, Joewellyn Terry, Frankie Nellesen, Dakota Francy, Devyn Francy, Guy Francy, Jackson Wyatt and Matti Wyatt, Gabriel Francy, Lily Francy, Serena Smith, Easton Smith, Rhett Vesecky and Blakely Hutcherson. She was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands: Ruby (Winifred) Lyon and Evelyn (Adair) Maloney; and great granddaughter: Madison Faith VanWey. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with John Phillips, Chaplain at Preferred Hospice officiating.

Interment will follow at the Centerview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandchildren: Jeremy VanWey (Rebecca), Darryl Francy, Clifford Francy, Nathan Francy (Hanna), Clint Smith (Kelsey), Jay Nellesen (Jennifer), Trey Wyatt (Candice), Josh Vesecky (Lauren), Dalton Hutcherson (Kaitlyn) and Kara Smith. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time, Saturday at the funeral home.
