Obituary of Justin Schultz Justin D. Schultz, 40, a lifelong Red Hook resident, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Saturday, April 21, 2018. Born on March 15, 1978, in Rhinebeck, NY, he is the son of Donald Schultz and Jamie (Hilbrandt) Hooper. Growing up, Justin had a love for baseball and fast cars.

After graduating from Red Hook High School, he began his career working full time in his family business – Schultz Painting. In addition to his dedication to his craft, he loved being with family and friends and living life to the fullest. Justin is survived by his father and step-mother, Donald and Marie Schultz of Red Hook, NY; his mother and step-father, Jamie and George Hooper of Red Hook, NY; his wife, Chantel Weckesser, whom he married on October 3, 2008 in a beautiful Jamaican ceremony; his daughter Morgan Schultz; their son Rocco Schultz and his step-daughter Cassidy Stride.

In addition to his loving wife, children, and parents, Justin is survived by his maternal grandparents – John and Flo Hilbrandt of Tivoli, NY; his siblings – his sister, Shannon (Neva) Healer of Capitola, CA, and their children Djuna and Sloan; his sister Lindsay Schultz (Joe Palumbo) of Red Hook, NY, and their children Franky “Bones” and Cami; his sister and brother, Carrie-James Schultz and Alex Kosakowski of Red Hook, NY; his step-sister Lindsey (Breandan) Lowry of Red Hook, NY and their children Rowan, Teagan, and Maeve; his step- brother Ryan (Natalie) Hooper of Oneonta, NY, and their children Benson and Charlotte; his father-in-law Loni Weckesser of Rome, NY; his mother-in-law Kim Kruger of Remsen, NY; his sister-in-law Johanna (Dave) Leary of Rhinebeck, NY and their children Mason and Molly; his brother-in-law Loni Weckesser of Red Hook, NY; along with countless extended family and close friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents; Kathleen and Donald Schultz. Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 5-7:30 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 PM. Interment will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 S. Broadway, Red Hook, NY.
