Karen is survived by her son, Michael (Renae) Larson; her niece, Jennifer Vest; her nephew, Brian Martin; her great niece, Letty Martin; her great nephews, Walker and Holden Vest; her parents, Bobby and Bobbie Carter; her brother, Jeff Carter and her sister, Cindy (Jimmy) Randolph. Chapel service will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.
