Kathleen’s Obituary Kathleen Stapleton Littlefield, 97, of Waycross died Thursday afternoon (Feb. 7, 2019) at her residence after an extended illness. She was born in Folkston, Georgia to the late Emmet Brewer and Rosa Pearce Stapleton.

Mrs. Littlefield lived in Waycross for sixty-four years where she was the owner of Littlefield Construction with her husband and was also a housewife. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Mary Martha Sunday School Class where she served as Treasurer, and was a member of the Waycross Garden Club. Mrs. Littlefield enjoyed going to Fernandina Beach, Florida and travelling with her family.

She had excellent, compassionate caregivers the last year and a half. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Littlefield, Sr.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmet and Catherine Stapleton, and Pearce and Hazel Stapleton; one sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Merrill Johnson. Survivors include two sons, David W. Littlefield, Jr. and his wife Glenda of Waycross, Dan S. Littlefield and his wife Laurie of Waycross; four grandsons, Patrick Littlefield, Blake Littlefield, Stape Littlefield, and Luke Littlefield; special family friend, Ruth Perkins; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon, Feb. 11, 2019, at 2 p.m., at Pineview Cemetery in Folkston, Georgia. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5 – 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
