Kenneth “Dean” Melvin, age 57, of Conway, SC passed away on April 21 2018 at his residence in Conway, SC. Dean was born on August 30, 1960 in Georgetown, DC, to Robert Melvin and Joan Melvin. Dean loved entertaining guests at his home with his keen sense of humor.

He also enjoyed listening to his music. Dean was employed for several years as a Truck Driver with Chip’s Towing in Maryland and was also employed with Overcash Outdoors LLC, here in South Carolina. Dean was predeceased by his parents; Robert and Joan Melvin.

Dean is survived by his wife; Lety Melvin, his child; Penny (family dog), sisters; Gail Cheseldine and husband Dennis Cheseldine, Jennifer Melvin, and brother; Billy Melvin and wife Lisa Melvin, and four nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Grand Strand Funeral Home and Crematory, 9506 Highway 707, Unit 4, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 29588, on Monday April 30th, 2018 from 3-5pm with a reception following at 3309 Prioloe Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC.
