Karolyn’s Obituary Karolyn Parker Davey, 85, passed away January 16, 2019 while in the care of Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born in Rutland, Massachusetts in 1933 to the late Winthrop and Bertha Parker. Karolyn was married to the late Arthur F. Davey.

They raised their family and resided in Medfield Massachusetts before retiring to Surfside Beach in 1988. Karolyn worked for Burroughs and Chapin at Broadway at the Beach Visitors Center from the moment the entertainment facility opened before fully retiring at the age of 75. She absolutely loved South Carolina, was a Gamecocks football fan and enjoyed going to church at Celebration Presbyterian Church in Carolina Forest.

Karolyn, known to many as KK, is survived by her family Glenn & Janet Davey of Belvidere, New Jersey, Cindy & Tim Taylor of Roswell, Georgia, and 3 grand children; Samantha Davey Richards & husband Kevin Richards, Erik Davey, Marissa Taylor, and a great grand child expected in April. There will not be any services by family request. Inurnment of Karolyn and Arthur’s ashes will be at the National Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina On Thursday January 24.
