David’s Obituary David Michael Fleck of Conway, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, January 27, 2019 after a courageous fight with cancer. David was born on September 12, 1954 in Wilmington, DE and was the son of the late Robert Davis Fleck and Mollie Reeves Fleck. Dave graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York College at Fredonia with a BA in Sociology and from the Leadership Institute of Seattle with an MA in Organizational Systems, Leadership, and Organizational Development.

Dave worked as an Organizational Development Consultant for 40 years. He worked for AT&T, Bell Labs, and Ortho-McNeil division of Johnson and Johnson, Inc. For the past 20 years, Dave was the CEO of Northeast Consulting/Center for Organizational Success, a business that serves organizations, teams, and individuals in developing the knowledge, skills, and insights necessary to achieve breakthrough business results. Dave also created and delivered graduate courses at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University, NJ.

He was also very active in the Society of Human Re Management and Organization Development Network. Beyond his passion for helping people to love and succeed at their work, Dave spent time with his family and pets, advocated for fairness and equality, and enjoyed long walks and movies. An avid small plane pilot, Dave was an active member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.

As a statewide representative for the Bernie Sanders campaign, Dave participated on the team that helped to secure 26% of the votes for the Sanders Campaign. We will always be amazed by Dave’s positivity, love, intelligence, and sense of humor. We all admired his passion to help those less fortunate at every opportunity.

David is survived by his loving children Christina (Ronald), David, Casey, and Daniel, his fiancée Deborah Campbell, and former spouse Eileen Fleck. He was also survived by his brother Thomas Fleck (Sylvia) and his fiancée’s daughters Natalie and Alyssa Crow; he was Pappy Dave to their children Julian and Addison. He leaves behind his many pets including his beloved Annie.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Unity Church of Myrtle Beach, 1270 Surfside Industrial Park, Surfside Beach 29575. The burial service will be held at 11am on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Manahath Cemetery, 730 North Main Street, Glassboro, New Jersey 08028. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Unity Church of Myrtle Beach.
