Norman’s Obituary Norman Robert Wessel, 72, of Myrtle Beach, SC went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2019. He was born December 11, 1946 in Buffalo, NY and was the son of the late Alfred and Constance (Bergfeld) Wessel. Norm was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

He retired from Grand Island High School in 2001, where he taught Chemistry for 33 years. He was a passionate sports fan and loved traveling with his wife Jeanne. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jeanne (Bickel) Wessel; daughter, Lisa (Wessel) Salois; brother, Rev.

Donald Wessel (Anne); nieces, Sharon Walker (Timmy) and Kathy Wessel (Matthew Bunn); and nephew, David Wessel (Kathy). He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Sophia Macey. A memorial gathering will be held this summer in his hometown of Buffalo, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Western New York Perinatal Bereavement Network or Odosagih Bible Conference.
