Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth “Pop” Campbell, 69, of Bangor, PA passed away Sunday, February 17th, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Anderson Campus, surrounded by his loving family. Kenneth was born in Dover, NJ on April 13, 1949, a son of the late Jesse Campbell, Sr. and Kay Ann (Martin) Hendershot. He was the soul mate and husband of Diane M. (Chiovitt) Campbell.

They celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary last September. Pop was employed as an EMT for the former Medic 9 & at Suburban EMS of Bangor, PA until retiring in 2012. Prior to that, he was employed by M & M. Mars, in Hackettstown, NJ, and at the former Forks Twp.

EMS as an Assistant Supervisor. He proudly served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Pop was an avid golfer and loved spending time with his grandchildren, who adored him He was a member of Refiner’s Fire Ministry in Portland, PA.

Ken was a life Member & former Assistant Chief of the Blue Valley Rescue Squad, a former volunteer for the former Liberty Ambulance, a former member of the Bangor V.F.W, and a former member of the Five Points team of the Slate Belt Pool League. In addition to his wife, Diane, Kenneth is survived by five sons Brian Campbell, husband of Jana, Brandon Campbell, Sean Montross, husband of Catherine, Joshua Montross, & Justin Montross, three brothers, Leroy Campbell, Jr., David Hendershot, & John Talmadge, Step Mother, Elizabeth Campbell, 10 grandchildren; John, Caterina, KayAnn, Cole, Jacob, Zachary, Jade, Jack, Justin, & Jake. 3 Great-Grandchildren, Noah, Owen, & Emersyn, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his uncle Leroy Campbell, Sr. and his grandmother Nana Dorothea Campbell who both raised him, a son Kenneth Allen Campbell, a sister Dorothea Hendershott, & a brother Jesse Campbell, Jr. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at East Bangor Fire Company Social Hall, 30 E. Central Ave. , East Bangor, PA, followed by a time of fellowship from 3 – 6 PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
