Kenneth’s Obituary Kenneth Wayne Adcock Sr., 79, of Mira, LA passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church in Vivian, LA officiated by Rev.

Bill Treadway and Rev. Billy Crosby. Burial will follow at Munnerlyn Chapel Cemetery in Mira, LA.

There will be a time of visitation from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, the 22nd at Gorsulowsky Funeral Home in Vivian, LA. Kenneth was born March 25, 1939 in Shreveport, LA to Frank Adcock and Madie Wall Adcock. He was raised in Mira, and moved to Shreveport after high school where he met and married the love of his life Retha.

They lived in Shreveport most of his life as they raised their family, returning to his home town to retire. Kenneth was a member and Deacon of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, and a member of the Ida Masonic Lodge.

He worked and retired from General Motors. He was a mechanic and a tinkerer who could fix just about anything. He was the type person who was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone.

He loved the Lord and his church family and enjoyed fishing. He will be remembered by his family as a unique man that made sure his children, and, later in life, his grandchildren, had a great childhood. He was always present in the lives of his family, never missing an opportunity to be there for them, such as making special trips to sporting events all over the south to buying go-carts and making a go-cart track for his grandkids.

His quick wit and corny jokes will be missed by all of those who loved him. Most of all his compassion, his willingness to help others, his giving nature, and the love he gave will be missed by his family and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Luther and Charles Adcock, and his sisters Frankie Robertson, and Sybil Willis.

He is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years, Retha Adcock of Mira, LA, his son Kenneth W. Adcock Jr. of Mira, LA, his daughter Kathy Fraccastoro and husband Frank of Orange, TX, his grandchildren, Christopher and Nicolas Adcock, and Anthony and Taylor Fraccastoro, his sister, Patsy Cannon and husband Junior of Haughton, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Frank Fraccastoro Jr., Christopher Adcock, Anthony Fraccastoro, Nicholas Adcock, Wade Cannon, and Larry Burns. Honorary pallbearers are the members of his Sunday School Class.

Donations can be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, the Gideons, or the Shriners in memory of Kenneth.
