Obituary for Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” King Kenneth Wayne King, 68, of McElhattan passed away Friday, April 13, 2018 at UPMC Susquehanna, Williamsport. Born on February 5, 1950 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Elmer and Phyllis Snyder King. Kenny was a 1968 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

He then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On December 23, 1978, he married the former Kay Louise Sewalt. Throughout the years Kenny worked various jobs, retiring from Woolrich Woolen Mills.

Kenny was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, American Legion of Lock Haven and the Sons of Italy as well as a former member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, auto repair, gardening and baseball. Kenny also loved camping as well as shooting pool, to which he referred to himself as a “Pool Shark”.

In addition to his wife, Kay King of McElhattan and his mother, Phyllis King of McElhattan, he is survived by four daughters: Mildred, Melissa, Michele and Mona; four siblings: Ty (Deb) King, Mike King, Tereasa (Mike) Clark and Phyllis (John) Clark; his mother-in-law, Clara Gunsallus; ten grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Along with his father, Elmer King, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mildred Embick and his father-in-law, Robert Gunsallus, Sr. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 12 Noon at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to attend a casual celebration of Kenny’s life at Wayne Township Fire Hall, 317 Linnwood Dr., McElhattan following the service.

Memorial contributions in Kenny’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123. Arrangements are under the direction of the Donald G. Walker Funeral Home, Inc., 231 High St., Flemington.
